Amanda Kessel is on the United States women's national ice hockey team. She also plays for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey program. In 2013, she led the Gophers to an NCAA title and scored the winning goal against Canada as the U.S. won the IIHF Hockey Women's World Championship. Kessel’s brother Phil Kessel plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the two look to be among a few sets of siblings representing the U.S. in Sochi.
