Brenton Rickard is a swimmer who has competed for Australia. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Rickard started his Olympic career as a medal contender in the breaststroke double (100 and 200) at Beijing 2008. There, he claimed his first individual medal with a silver in the 200 metres breaststroke, breaking a new Australian record (2:08.88). He also placed fifth in the 100 and received a silver as a breaststroke swimmer of the Australian men's team in the 4x100 metres medley relay.

Four years later in London, Rickard returned to his second Games as the world record holder in the 100 metres breaststroke, but he lost the record to the winner Cameron van der Burgh (58.46) and dropped to sixth in the final. He also swam through the breaststroke leg in the heats of the 4x100 metres medley relay before Christian Sprenger replaced him on the team that finished third in the final round.
