Carina Vogt is a German skijumper and the first ever Olympic champion amongst women.

Born in 1992, Vogt started her international ski jumping career in 2004 and reached her first victory in 2010. She has never won any World Cup events, yet she has taken 2nd and 3rd place for eight times. Her best World Championship achievement is bronze medal in Mixed Team competition in 2013.

Vogt was one of the favorites in Sochi 2014, where the first Olympic ski jumping competition for women was held for the first time in history. Vogt took the lead in the 1st round and managed to provide a good jump in the final round, scoring 247.4 points and keeping the lead. She became the first Olympic gold medalist ever in women's ski jumping.
