The Olympic torch, which carries the Olympic flame from Greece to the site of the Olympics, is an integral part of any games. Its design is highly scrutinized as thousands of inspirational people carry the flame during the [[:Category:Torch_Relay|torch relay]], across the host nation for all to see, before it is brought into the Olympic Stadium during the Opening Ceremony, commencing the Games by bringing fire to the official Olympic flame.
