The final of the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Team event will be held on July 31, 2012. Twelve teams have qualified for the team event but only eight will compete in the final. In a preliminary competition held on July 29, 2012, the four teams with the lowest combined scores will be eliminated. For the 2012 London Olympics, only five women were selected for each team and each country will put three gymnasts up in the four events (vault, balance beam, uneven bars and floor exercise) and all three scores will count towards the final score.
