Imogen Jayne Cairns was born on January 21, 1989 in Southmead, Bristol, United Kingdom. Cairns was initially named an alternate for the 2008 Beijing Olympics but was named to the team when teammate Laura Jones was injured. Cairns will also be a member of the 2012 Great Britain Olympic Team.
