Kaitlin Sandeno is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. She competed at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
Sandeno started her Olympic career in Sydney 2000. There, she claimed her first individual medal with a bronze in the 800 metres freestyle, trailing the winner and her teammate Brooke Bennett by almost five seconds.
Athens 2004 saw Sandeno add three more medals to her haul, including a silver in the 400 metres individual medley with an American record time (4:34.95) and a bronze in the 400 metres freestyle (4:06.19). She and the U.S. women's team of Natalie Coughlin, Carly Piper, and Dana Vollmer also blasted the 17-year-old world record by more than two seconds to defend their title in the 4x200 metres freestyle relay.
Sandeno attempted to qualify for her third Olympic team in 2008, but she missed the selection at the U.S. trials, ending her swimming career.
