Kathleen Elizabeth Hersey was born on February 21, 1990 in Athens, Georgia, USA. Hersey was a member of the 2008 USA Olympic team where she placed eighth in the 200 meter butterfly. Hersey will compete in the 200 meter butterfly event at the 2012 Olympics.
