Li Xiaopeng is a gymnast who has competed for China. He competed at the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Li is widely regarded as of China's most successful gymnasts of all-time. He won a total of five medals throughout his Olympic career, including a couple of men's parallel titles and two golds as a member of the Chinese men's artistic gymnastics team in the all-around at Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008. Li and his teammates were also favored to defend the all-around title for his second Olympics in 2004 but a sequence of technical errors and a severe foot injury from the pre-Games training dropped him and his team out of medal contention to the fifth overall spot. He also claimed a bronze in the parallel bars and placed seventh in the vault exercise because of a botched first jump.
Li officially retired from competitive gymnastics in 2009.
