Liu Xuan is a gymnast who has competed for China. She competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympic Games.
Liu's major Olympic success transpired in 2000 when she became the first Chinese gymnast to win the gold medal on the women's balance beam over the Russian duo Ekaterina Lobazniouk and Elena Prodounova. She also helped the Chinese women secure a bronze in the team all-around event but a decade later, the International Olympic Committee stripped off their medal and awarded it to the United States instead after Liu's teammate Dong Fangxiao was discovered to have been underage during the competition.
