Martins Dukurs is a skeleton rider who has competed for Latvia. He competed at the 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympic Games. During the 2018 Winter Olympics, he was in contention to win his third consecutive silver medal. He lost this position by having the fifth time in the last run, finishing the tournament in fourth place. He was chosen to be the flag bearer of Latvia during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics. After winning silver medals in two consecutive Olympic Games, he is considered to be an inspiration and idol of a lot of skeleton racers.

He is the younger brother of Tomass Dukurs.
