Monica Rosu was born on May 11, 1987 in Bacau, Romania. Rosu was a member of the 2004 Romanian Olympic team where she was a double gold medalist in women's artistic gymnastics winning the team and vault titles. Rosu retired was competitive gymnastics in 2005.
