The Nordic combined competition, consisting of one ski jump from HS 106 hill and a 10 km cross-country skiing pursuit, took place in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 on 12th February 2014. 46 athletes from 15 countries competed.
Gold medal was achieved by Germany's Eric Frenzel, who won both ski jumping and cross-country skiing competitions. Japan's Akito Watabe took silver, being the second in both round. Norwegian Magnus Krog was only 20th after the jump and started the second round one minute 3 seconds later than Frenzel, yet he managed to end up in third position and win the bronze medal.
