Noriaki Kasai is a ski jumper who has competed for Japan. He competed at every edition of the Winter Olympic Games between Albertville 1992 and Pyeongchang 2018. He was the second Winter Olympian to compete at seven Olympic Games, after Albert Demchenko, and the first athlete to reach eight appearances at the Winter Olympic Games. At Sochi 2014, he became the oldest ski jumper to win an Olympic medal, when he won a silver medal aged 41. He was selected to be the Japanese flag bearer during the opening ceremony of Pyeongchang 2018.
