Ranomi Kromowidjojo is a swimmer who has competed for the Netherlands. She competed at the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

Kromowidjojo was widely regarded one of the top Dutch freestyle swimmers through the 2010s. At her first Olympics in 2008, she helped the Dutch women's team of Inge Dekker, Femke Heemskerk, and Marleen Veldhuis edge out the favorites from Australia and the United States for the gold with an Olympic record (3:33.76) in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay.

London 2012 marked the peak of Kromowidjojo's swimming career. Though she and the Dutch women's team lost their title to the Australians, they came from behind to race against the Americans for a silver in 3:33.79. In the 100 metres freestyle, she recorded the fastest time of the field in 53.05 to slice 0.07 seconds off the previous Olympic record from Britta Steffen during the semifinal round. She soon improved her own record in 53.00 to win a third gold for the Netherlands in the event since Rie Mastenbroek topped the podium in 1936 and Inge de Bruijn in 2000. Kromowidjojo's victory streak continued by blasting a new Olympic record (24.05) for another gold in the 50 metres freestyle. With this feat, she joined her compatriot De Bruijn, Steffen, and Kristin Otto as the only female swimmers in history to strike a sprint freestyle double (50 and 100).

Four years later in Rio de Janeiro, Kromowidjojo returned to her third Games as the defending champion in the sprint freestyle double, but she could not match her feat from London. She slipped off the podium each to sixth in the 50 metres freestyle and fifth in the 100. She and the Dutch women's team also missed the podium by more than a full second behind the third-place Canada in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay.

Kromowidjojo's results continued to falter at her fourth Games in 2020. When she entered the semifinals of the 100 metres freestyle from the heats, she scratched out from the meet for undisclosed reasons. She almost snatched another medal in the 50 by 0.09 of a second and as a member of the Dutch women's 4x100 metres freestyle relay team by almost a full second.

She is married to 2016 Olympic open water champion Ferry Weertman.
