Sam Edney is a luger who has competed for Canada. He competed at the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympic Games. His fourth place in the team relay of the 2014 Winter Olympics was promoted to a third place (and therefore a bronze medal) when the Russian team, which finished second, was disqualified for unsportsmanlike behavior. This decision was later overturned, denying Edney a bronze medal.
