Scott Moir is a figure skater who has competed for Canada.
He competed at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympic Games. He and his skating partner Tessa Virtue were the flag bearers for Canada during the opening ceremony of Pyeongchang 2018. They are the most decorated figure skaters ever, collecting five medals, of which 3 gold, as well as the longest-standing ice dance pair in Canadian history. They are also the only team ever to win Olympic gold in an Olympic debut, as well as the youngest and oldest team to win Olympic gold in ice dancing. They are the current world record holders for the highest technical score in a short dance when they received 44.53 at the 2018 Winter Olympics. They also achieved world records in the free dance (114.66 during Sochi 2014), the short dance (83.67 during Pyeongchang 2018) and the combined score (206.07 during Pyeongchang 2018). They received another personal record, achieving 122.40 during the free dance of Pyeongchang 2018.
