Seoul 88

The 1988 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXIV Olympiad, was held from September 17 to October 2, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. They were the second summer Olympic Games to be held in Asia and the first since Tokyo 1964.

160 nations were represented by a total of 8391 athletes: 6197 men and 2194 women, with 237 events held. This made Seoul, up to that games, the largest Olympic games to be held.
