Sochi, Russia is planned to be the site for the XXII Winter Olympic Games.
Although there is currently a petition trying to take the olympic games away from Sochi and put it somewhere else because of the Russian Bombings of Georgia in 2008. Currently Sochi is still planned to host the games but it is unknown if the petition will be successful or if Sochi will go ahead as planned.
