The design for the torch of the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney was inspired by the curve of a boomerang, the iconic roof of the Sydney Opera House, and the blue waters of the Pacific ocean. It was designed by Blue Sky Design, and like all Olympic torches, used in the torch relay.
